The Maths Guy Online Primary School is built around the same principles as a high-quality primary classroom: planned teaching, a structured curriculum, assessment, feedback and measurable progress.
Every child follows the UK National Curriculum for mathematics, with learning carefully sequenced throughout the year. Lessons are taught live by The Maths Guy, while regular assessment and progress checks help us understand what your child knows, where they need support and what they are ready to learn next.

A Week in the Life of
The Maths Guy Classroom
Every lesson is live, interactive and designed to make children active participants in their learning.
1. Connect
Children begin together as a class, revisiting previous learning and connecting it to what's coming next.
2. Learn
New mathematical ideas are taught live using an interactive display, visual models, examples and questioning.
3. Explore
Children work independently or in small breakout groups to explore problems, apply their learning and develop their own strategies.
4. Share
Children bring their thinking back to the class, explaining their methods and comparing different approaches.
5. Feedback
Learning is two-way. Children receive immediate feedback from their teacher, while their responses and work help shape the direction of the lesson.
6. Reflect
Children review what they have learned, identify what they understand and consider what they need to work on next.

The Maths Guy
Hi, I'm Matt. I'm The Maths Guy.
I'm a qualified UK primary teacher with experience teaching in the UK and internationally. I've spent my career working with primary-aged children, with a particular passion for mathematics and helping children become confident, independent thinkers.
Through The Maths Guy, I've helped children around the world develop their mathematical understanding through engaging, accessible and practical lessons.
Now, I'm bringing that experience into a live online classroom - where I can teach a small group of children every day, get to know them as learners, and help them to make genuine progress.
